Senior Project Scheduler (m/f/d)
We are looking for an analytical and experienced Senior Project Scheduler to take responsibility for the planning, coordination, and control of large-scale industrial projects. In this position, you will use modern tools and methods to structure complex plant engineering projects clearly and ensure smooth execution from project start to handover. You will work closely with interdisciplinary teams and take on a central role in project schedules, progress tracking, and performance analysis.
Your Responsibilities
Master Schedule Development
You define project objectives, scope, and work package structure. You create and maintain comprehensive, resource-loaded schedules using Primavera P6 and MS Project.
Earned Value Management (EVM)
You apply EVM methods, calculate relevant key metrics, perform variance analyses, and create reliable forecasts for project completion.
Deep-Dive Analysis & Risk Management
You continuously evaluate project progress to identify early warning signs. Risks are proactively identified, resources are optimized, and strategic countermeasures are developed to prevent delays.
Project Coordination & PMO Support
You facilitate workshops to assess technical and economic feasibility. You also integrate PMO standards, guidelines, and quality assurance processes into daily project operations.
Comprehensive Documentation
You ensure careful documentation of the scheduling environment, version control, and the development of the critical path. This creates full transparency for all project stakeholders.
Qualifications & Expertise
Education
Completed degree in industrial engineering, construction management, engineering, or a related technical field.
Industry Experience
Extensive experience with CAPEX projects and plant engineering, especially in the areas of data centers, life sciences/pharma, or oil & gas.
Technical Skills
Very good knowledge of Primavera P6 and MS Project. Strong understanding of Earned Value Management (EVM) and analytical deep-dive methods.
Certifications
A PMI certification, such as PMP or PMI-SP, is a strong advantage.
Soft Skills
Strong communication and presentation skills, high flexibility, and a disciplined, team-oriented way of working. Very good German and English skills are preferred.
